Looking for 12 hour hold? Apply your wig snuggly, adjusting the hairline to your liking. Apply a layer of hairspray or gel onto your hairline, wait 30 seconds, then layer your lace on top. Make final adjustments before blasting with your hairdryer on cold. Boom! Ready for a full day with your new hair.
Set it & forget it
Melt your wig cap to your hair with gel or hairspray. Trim around your hairline and ears and add pins for extra hold. Layer on your wig adhesive on your wig cap and skin, wait 60 seconds, then apply your wig. Make final adjustments, seal with a wig band (or scarf) and you're ready for 72 hours of hold.

The quality of this wig is simply amazing… and as a person new to wigs in general, all of the adjustment options were incredibly valuable and helped me figure out the best ways adjust the wig based on my personal head shape, which definitely made it comfortable and lay in a much more realistic way.
I also was so shocked at how this wig (and the Byzantine Purple wig that I got, which even my family members insisted had to be my real hair because of how naturally it lays, especially with the curtain bangs) stayed so secure without ANY kind of adhesive, and it didn’t budge AT ALL during a windy mountain photo shoot when the only adhesive option that I had was hairspray.
I did also wear the purple wig for three days using actual wig adhesive, and slept in a satin-lined bonnet, and I’m just… obsessed. I’ve since ordered one more wig, and I’m SO tempted by the charcoal one… while I am no wig expert, I do know many people who are, and they were so impressed with the quality and versatility of the two wigs I purchased. I can’t wait for the blonde wavy wig to arrive; I would love to see some shorter options in the basic colors too, eventually (I realize this particular niche must be quite the business and artistic endeavor, and while Stella and team are certainly doing an incredible job, I’m just trying to be reasonable about potential timelines), because I can’t bear to cut the long ones.
So should I get the charcoal one now or wait for a similarly dark style in a shorter cut—potentially—since I’m hoping for some length diversity but am too in love with the wigs to cut them 🤔 decisions decisions!
The easiest decision here was 5 stars. Would do more if I could—these wigs have done more for my mental health than a lot of clinical treatments (not promising that would be true for others, of course, it just happened to be really healing for me based on individual circumstances)—while they are an investment, depending on what you do with your hair and how often you’re having it done, it may make more sense financially to invest in a wig while letting your hair grow out and just condition the heck out of it under your wig cap and let your scalp breathe sometimes by taking some days off (I’m thankful for many POC creators, and members of the Black community in particular for having so many tutorials and tips on wigs and hair care… while I have Caucasian fine hair, those tutorials are so valuable because of the science and learned skill these creators share online; I would be remiss not to point that out while describing how I’ve learned to wear these wigs safely and maximize the benefits to my actual hair)… I work in finance so I always carefully weigh big purchases, and in my case, this was an unquestionable economic benefit.
I hope Halsey (famously wears many different wigs) is aware or becomes aware of this line, because as a CEO and artist herself, I think she’d be an amazing partner for so many reasons. Manifesting a Stella x Halsey (or Stella x Ashle…
Love the wig so so much but the quality is not great unfortunately :( the nape straps came loose upon the second wear. Which is quite annoying because the wig is too big for me. So I have to see if I can fix that. The wig also sheds like crazy. To the point where I am already getting bald spots :(
